Thanks to Red Envelope I was sent a fun gift for my husband.  We recently had to buy a new grill thanks to the wind blowing our cover off and making it unusable.  I wanted something he could use with his new toy and he love to grill.  We always have a hard time telling if the meat is done or not.    I decied to pick the Infrared Laser BBQ Thermometer, like the one pictured above.  Because of getting his new grill I of course gave this to him when it showed up at my house.  He immediately fired up his grill and took the thermometer out of the packaging and put the enclosed batteries in it.  He went out to his grill and all he had to do was aim the thermometer at the grill to get the current temperature.  He got a reading in about 1 second and he was able to get it while holding it from about 5 feet away.  It was a little difficult on our steaks we made.  He has figured out this is a fun toy.  He can use  not just for outdoor grilling, it can also be used for indoor cooking or getting the temperature reading of hundreds of other items.  He has already gotten the reading of the air conditioning vent, the water out of the kitchen sink and more.
