I don't know about you but, I would love to go on  a trip to Italy.  This would be an amazing prize to win for sure.  Here is your chance to win and go.  Now through March 18, Crisco is inviting home cooks to submit their favorite recipes at GetInspired.com in the Crisco Mediterranean Inspirations Recipe and Essay Contest for the chance to win a trip for two to Italy.  Recipes should include one of the three Crisco Olive Oil varieties: Crisco 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Crisco Pure Olive Oil or Crisco Light Olive Oil; plus, two ingredients commonly used in Mediterranean-style cooking, including tomatoes, garlic, olives, pasta, yogurt, legumes, fresh herbs, lentils or cheese

  3. I take olive oil and drizzle it over fresh potatoes that I have julianned and then I sprinkle fresh Italian herbs and freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and then bake in the oven. The potatoes get this nice glaze and delicious taste.

  7. My favorite thing to put Olive Oil in is spaghetti sauce. I don't know why but it just gives it this little kick and makes it so yummy!

  36. Entered the contest. Here is the recipe:

    1. 1 lb Penne pasta - cook al dente
    2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil, add garlic, onion, salt, pepper and saute till it turns transparent
    3. Add tomatoes, artichoke, any veggie in hand (like mushroom, bell pepper)
    4. Cook for 2-3 minutes, add pasta and stir well
    5. Garnish with cheese, fresh torn basil.

  57. My favorite thing to use olive oil for is to sautee spinach with some garlic. It gives it the most amazing taste ever!! yum!! There are times when I literally just eat an entire bag of spinach for dinner

  60. I use olive oil in everything but my favorite thing is to use it for a dip. I pour a few tablespoons on a plate, then put a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar in the middle of it, sprinkle it with red pepper flakes and it is tasty dip for some crusty bread.
