I can't think of anything I cook w/o Olive oil! Only exception is in the fryer, all other dishes are made w/ it otherwise.

I take olive oil and drizzle it over fresh potatoes that I have julianned and then I sprinkle fresh Italian herbs and freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and then bake in the oven. The potatoes get this nice glaze and delicious taste.

I enjoy using Olive Oil in homemade pizzas and pastas, it adds such a great flavor!

Entered the contest. Here is the recipe:
ReplyDelete1. 1 lb Penne pasta - cook al dente
2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil, add garlic, onion, salt, pepper and saute till it turns transparent
3. Add tomatoes, artichoke, any veggie in hand (like mushroom, bell pepper)
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes, add pasta and stir well
5. Garnish with cheese, fresh torn basil.

I cook veggies in olive oil!
ReplyDeleteI use olive oil in everything but my favorite thing is to use it for a dip. I pour a few tablespoons on a plate, then put a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar in the middle of it, sprinkle it with red pepper flakes and it is tasty dip for some crusty bread.
