If you are looking to take advantage of all the great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on technology-related products this holiday season, but are feeling overwhelmed at the thought of choosing the right PC for your family or yourself, there is help!
Leslie Sobon, Director of World Wide Product Marketing at AMD, offers up some tips on how to get through the holiday buying season and choose a computer for a friend or family member without ruining the surprise, or losing your mind! Leslie suggests,
- Look for systems with VISION Technology from AMD labels, which help you choose the perfect PC (without needing an engineering degree)
- Different VISION Technology from AMD labels correspond with various user needs, allowing consumers to quickly and easily make educated buying decisions based on how they will use the computer
- To take advantage of this season’s holiday deals, confirm your purchase beforehand by visiting the store days ahead and asking your salesperson relevant usage questions such as:
o Will this computer allow me to listen to or mix music?
o Will this computer allow me to view and edit photos?
o Can my child build a Power Point presentation on this computer?
o Will my husband be able to edit the family videos on this computer?
o Can I watch Blu-ray and/or HD movies?
o Can I watch Live TV or play video games?
Do you have a question on choosing the right computer ? I can't help you - I can barely work a DVD player, but AMD can. They have been kind enough to offer to answer any questions you may have too! So, simply leave your question as a comment to this post by noon on 11/23/2010 at and I will share them with the techies over at AMD and get some answers for you before you hit the stores on Black Friday :-)
