Kathryn Stockett's critically-acclaimed and New York Times best-selling novel The Help is getting the big screen treatment this summer. Starring Emma Stone (Easy A, The Amazing Spiderman), Oscar-nominee and Tony-winner Viola Davis (Doubt, Eat Pray Love) and Oscar-winner Sissy Spacek (Four Christmases, Tuck Everlasting), The Help follows three 1960's Mississippi women who form an extraordinary friendship despite societal rules. The story is both provocative and inspiring and you will be glad you have seen this timeless tale about creating change.

I have read this book and LOVED it.  I read some where it was the number one requested ebook.  If your book club is reading this title again in celebration of the upcoming movie release, make sure you check out this Book Club Kit put together by Dreamworks especially for this occasion!

I was lucky enough to go see the move at a special screening and loved it.  My husband even enjoyed it.  I liked the movie so much I have now decided to read the book a second time.   I went through every emotion watching this movie.  I laughed, smiled and cried.  I really enjoyed Minny's (Octavie Spencer) smart mouth and Skeeter (Emma Stone) was perfect.  (She is one of my favorites right now)  Wow, how could you not want to just grab Aibileen (Viola Davis)and give her a hug and tell her how amazing she really was.   Each Character does such an amazing job.  Yes, I wanted to punch Hilly a few times and tell Mrs. Leefolt to stand up for herself.  I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I do.  Would love to hear what you thought after you see the movie.
