Better Homes and Garden Review + "Favorite Coffee Snack Upcoming Promotion

One thing I have is a sweet tooth so when Better Homes and Garden asked me to be part of the what is your favorite coffee snack promotions I couldn't pass it up. Plus, that meant I got to make something sweet. I have been trying to give up sweets but, I knew this was a good time to do some baking in the Kitchen. Plus, I love getting the kids in the kitchen and having them help me.

I asked on facebook what is your favorite coffee snack and after the responses decided to go with Black bottom cake. Can I saw oh my goodness it is one of the best cakes I have ever had. Thank you Jamie for the amazing recipe. Black Bottom Cake is a delicious combination of rich chocolate and creamy cheesecake. They are suitable for any occasion, from a formal affair to a breakfast treat. The best part it is very easy to make. I would have eaten the whole thing so I took it down to my husband's work and now it is gone. I was so proud I only had 1 piece.

I was luck enough to receive a 5 piece Non-stick Bakeware Collection, 10 cup Grind & Brew Coffee Maker, and Stand Mixer!

I will say my favorite item was the 5 piece Non-stick Bakeware. I am so impressed with the pans I even threw out some of my old ones that I have used for years. My favorite part how easy they are to clean and my cake didn't stick to them at all!

The Stand Mixer was very easy to use. I didn't know if I would like it because I have had my Kitchen Aid mixer for years. I will tell you very impressed. It is so easy to change out the pieces. Favorite part it starts out slow so no flour going everywhere! I would suggest this for a wedding gift or house warming gift. It is very reasonably priced.

The coffeemaker was a little bit harder to use. But, once I figured it out. It was very useful. I really like how it grinds coffee (never had a grinder before.) No coffee filters make it very nice. If you do get this one leave the lid on the carafe when brewing the coffee or you will have water everywhere. You would think that you wouldn't have too because it has a tiny hole on top. Nope that is what you do. After lots of water on the counter I figured it out. (Maybe I should have read the instructions better) My husband loved the coffee and I am excited to have an alternative from my 1 cup coffee maker for when we have guests over or both want a cup of coffee. I would just suggest to read the instructions before use.
